The Traditional Thai Yoga Massage training program with Eric Spivack is a self-paced series of 10 courses taught on the floor. The program consists of 88 hours of classroom training, receiving a 90-minute Thai Yoga Massage, receiving 6 hours of private one-on-one tutorials, and logging a minimum of 50 hours of practice. This totals a minimum of 145 hours of study and practice.

The majority of my students complete the program within a year.

This highly organized, step-by-step training includes demonstrated massage sequences, followed by substantial hands-on practice. We focus on proper body mechanics, mindfulness in how we move our bodies, and smooth transitions between poses. Classes include supervised practice and individual follow-up during three private tutorials.

Each course allows for ample time to ask questions, practice new material, and learn how to integrate these skills into your practice.

In the 2-day Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage Level 1 workshop, you will learn a variety of distinct poses in the supine, side-lying, prone and seated positions. You will also learn about the history and philosophy of Thai Yoga Massage, basic principles and various techniques.

The material presented in the subsequent one-day Intensives is equivalent to 2 day's worth of study. Because these classes are small, you will receive individualized one-on-one feedback, so that you are able to successfully learn and practice each pose.

In Thai Level 2, you will review the Level 1 material, learn a variety of new distinct poses, as well as, learn the sen energy lines.

In Thai Levels 3-5, you will learn a variety of advanced poses to help deepen your Thai Massage practice.

In the Acupressure for Bodyworkers workshop, you will learn 68 of the most common acupressure points in the body.

In the Advanced Thai Therapeutics: Upper Back, Neck + Shoulders workshop, you will focus on treatment for the upper portion of the body.

In the Advanced Art of Rocking, Vibration + Movement workshop, you will learn techniques to increase the dynamic quality of your existing Thai Yoga Massage.

In the Advanced Thai Exploration workshop, you will learn to skillfully integrate even more dynamic advanced poses into your Thai Yoga Massage practice.

In The Art of Sequencing a Thai Yoga Massage workshop, you will practice portions from the 9 unique sequences covered in class, including sequences for general relaxation, upper body conditions and lower body conditions.

During the three private one-on-one tutorials, you will receive helpful, constructive feedback to assist you in improving and refining your skills.

After completing the Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage Level 1, you may take Thai Levels 2 - 5 and Acupressure Points for Bodyworkers in any order. The following 4 workshops should be taken towards the end of your studies:

  • Advanced Thai Therapeutics: Upper Back, Neck + Shoulders

  • Advanced Art of Rocking, Vibration + Movement in Thai Yoga Massage

  • Advanced Thai Exploration

  • The Art of Sequencing a Thai Yoga Massage

*** You may substitute the 2-day Integrated Thai Table Massage workshop if you are unable to attend the Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage Level 1.***

Thai Massage Futons

If you plan to practice Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, you'll want to have a proper futon. These 100% cotton futons are hand-made, measure 80" long x 60" wide x 3" thick and weigh 33 pounds.

Futons include a carrying strap and durable cotton cover in your choice of chocolate brown or sage green.

They retail for $360, and I discount them to $320 when picked up at my office or $330 when shipped directly to you. Use a queen size flat sheet to cover the futon.

Please email Eric if you are interested in purchasing one.
