About
Eric Spivack, LMP/Dipl.Ac, RTT
My
goal is to bring
a gentle
and compassionate
quality
to
my work. My curiosity and
interest
in the human
body are
reflected
in
my holistic approach to helping others. By drawing upon
eastern forms
of healing,
my treatments
address the physical,
emotional, and
spiritual
aspects of wellness.
As
a
health care professional for over 16 years, I
believe in supporting
my
patients' well-being by offering non-invasive techniques
that balance
the body's energy. Achieving and maintaining good health require effort
and
patience,
especially when treating chronic
conditions. Acupuncture and
therapeutic bodywork are valuable adjuncts to proper
nutrition,
exercise, meditation, healthy relationships, and mindful work. In
my opinion, all
these elements are necessary for achieving and maintaining balance
in
our lives.
Eric's
Commitment to Learning
I am a
registered Thai
massage instructor who began studying 14 years ago with master teachers
in Thailand. I have been to Thailand seven times and have earned
certificates from
several Thai
institutions.
I am also a
nationally certified massage therapist, acupuncturist and certified
Viniyoga instructor. I
graduated
from the Brian Utting School of
Massage in 1994 and received a Master of Acupuncture degree from the
Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002. As
a student intern, I gained valuable experience while
treating patients at Harborview Medical Center's HIV/AIDS and Chronic
Fatigue clinics.
Prior
to studying healing arts, I earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master's degree in
Environmental Science. Through
teaching and
taking continuing education courses, I am able to stay current
in my field, refine my skills, and expand my knowledge. I have taught
Thai Yoga Massage since 1998 and am a continuing
education provider with National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage
and
Bodywork,
Thai Healing Alliance
International,
and Yoga Alliance International.
